CPR Refresher 2010

On Tuesday night, Greenfield volunteers held our annual CPR refresher course at the firehall. American Safety and Health Institute instructors Rich Whitelavich, Tom Drennan and John Kurilla instructed members, new cadets and a few guests the proper lifesaving techniques of Cardio Pulmonary Resusciation and how to use other lifesaving devices such as an Automated External Defibrilator, more commonly known as an AED. Students learned proper hand positioning, compression to breath ratios, proper pad placement for AED use and how and where to check for pulses. Students also learned the correct procedures for performing CPR on children and infants.
